Spain won the 2026 World Cup — here's how to never miss the next one
The first 48-team World Cup ended on 19 July 2026 at MetLife Stadium. Here's what happened, and how to set up Telegram alerts for your national team before the next qualifiers start.

How the final went
Spain beat Argentina 1–0 after extra time to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Ferran Torres scored the only goal in the 106th minute, in the first period of extra time, after Spain had spent ninety minutes unable to convert a heavy shot advantage.
Argentina played the whole of extra time with ten men after Enzo Fernández picked up a second yellow card deep into stoppage time at the end of the second half. It is Spain's second world title after 2010, and the first World Cup decided under the expanded 48-team format.
Following football in Veentry
Open the search bar and type the name of a national team, a club, or a competition. Open its page and tap Follow — that single action is everything Veentry needs to start watching the fixture list for you.
Then choose what is worth a notification. You can ask for kickoff only, or add the final result, and you can follow a whole competition rather than a single team when you want the full bracket instead of one side's run through it.
What comes next
Qualifying cycles and continental tournaments run continuously between World Cups, and the fixtures that matter to you are spread across months. Following your team once means the next one arrives in your Telegram chat without you checking a calendar again.
